Sales Division

Sales division is where you define the various front end divisions of your business. For example, retail sales division, builder sales division, furniture sales division, lighting sales division, etc. Once sales divisions are set up, you can control which division a branch, invoice type, misc. type, misc. code and user belongs to.

If a sales user belongs to sales division 'Retail', when the user writes an invoice, they will only have access to write invoices where the invoice type belongs to the 'Retail' sales division. When in the invoice they will only be able to attach a misc. codes that belongs to the 'Retail' sales division.

Attaching to a branch was specifically designed to be used in the warranty export so that you can select a sales division to pull all branches within that sales division instead of having to select each individual branch and leaving room for error.
